SUPER DOGGGG!!!!!!

I know I've discovered this late....but I still want the hero dog. If it's a dog. Maybe it's a person who transformed into a dog Sirius Black style? What was that called.....

I know I Already Blogged Today....

but this bothers me.

I heard a lot of sad news, so my mind wandering, I went to Flickr, the photo site?

For no reason, I typed in "pain." I got back 363,729 results in .36 seconds.

Then I typed in "violence" and got 119,983 results in .24 seconds

I typed in "lust" and got 59,450 results in .5 seconds.

And then I typed in "love"

Only to find I had to type it in twice.

Because the first time the site came back with no results, and asked me to try a different search.

So, I've been kind of bored waiting for college to start since all my friends have freaking left and its been dreary and rainy for 5 days in a God dang row. So as usual I found odd ways to amuse myself. And these odd ways made me realize all the odd and nerdy things I see that brings me joy or things I do that just show my non coolness in general. Some I discovered recently, some are just memories or regualrs. Here they are:

1.) The secret agent Disguise for Laptops.

Do you get it it???? Its a laptop cover that makes the laptop look like an old book!!!!! THAT IS THE COOLEST THING EVA!!!!!....even though it's way overpriced if you ask me. I don't have one (80 bucks are you joking?!?!) but it brought me extreme joy to see. It's like laptops gone James Bond.

2.) The Veggie Monster Heart Attack-
I heard The Cookie Monster had been turn to the Veggie Monster and almost had a panic attack. I did the whole "NOOOOOOOO" they do in the movies in slow mo and then raced to Dilbert to see if it was true. It mattered that much. to my defense Cookie Monster was one of my favorite characters!!!!! Soo I had to have Sesame Street therapy to calm down. And here's yours....it's funny...well....at least to me. It's weird because the jokes have been done but it's funny because SESAME STREET did it.

3.) Being Under 40 (Heck in my case under 20) and Having to Use the Urban Dictionary A LOT. Oh yea. I was a creep-creep-creepin yesterday on someone's facebook (oh like you've never done it Frankie) and there were all these abbreviations I didn't know and had to look up. There were a total of 15, and this included ones such as "EAD" and "smh." The "EAD" one I am proud to say I guessed. The "smh" I got all poetic for and assumed stood for "so much hatred" due to the context of the page. No, it means "shake my head" (in an unhappy manner)......mine was better.

4.) Watching Old Children T.V. Shows on Youtube- I don't know what normal people use youtube for, but this week I have used it to watch Doug, Wishbone (That dog was my dawg yo!), Tailspin, Arthur, and, of course, Sesame Street. There was some normal usage as well, don't worry.

5.) The Patheticness of What's Inside My Wallet- Most girls you know have drivers license credit card and a bunch of things from cute girly stores. Oh no, not me. Mine contains My drivers license, credit card, and College I.D. Normal. But then it contains 3 Borders gift cards, 2 Barnes and Nobles cards, a Library card for my library, a Library card for the downtown library (that one's better!) and an Itunes gift card. And a Half Price Books card. Oh Yea, I'm cool.

6.) Naming EVERYTHING- I'm starting to wonder if this is a psychological effect of having no friends in Preschool...because I do name a lot of my inanimate objects. My laptop's Dilbert, My ipod is Jazzy, my phone is Samson, and my Car is Carlos....even though I think he was made in Japan. However he's so beat up looking that you would think an illegal immigrant had used him to escape over the border. And no, I have nothing against illegal immigrants. I quite like them actually. I'm just saying he looks like he's been through some hard times. And of course, my (mainly) imaginary readers are named Frankie.

7.) Getting Excited by Either of These Trailers: Bree Loves these Trailers, She do she do she do. Even though it's not orange soda. (If you get what old Nickelodeon character I'm referring to let me know)

and OF COURSE.....

Harry Potter comes out in 85 days by the way. I'm just saying. There was a countdown clock when I looked for the trailer I SWEAR.

8.) HOLLA!!!!!!!!! - Someone wrote that in grafiti on the side of a building, and my first thought was spanish. I was all "Hola doesn't have two L's." Then I realized they were writing "Holler" in the cool way. However,if you had my initial reaction, you're not alone my friend.

9.) Looking at a Film, Youtube Video, Photo, or Drawing and analyze the Creative Process in it.- This is for my more artsy nerdy side. I'll look at a photo and wonder what setting they used on their camera. Or I'll look at an illustration and think about the mediums they used. I just saw this music video where this paper airplane seems to fold and fly itself, and I was paying wayyy more attention to how they did the special effects on it and how cool it was then I should have.

10.) Looking at Summer Partly as a Time to Catch up on Nature and Reading-I do normal things to of course, but in my spare time when nobody can come out or whatever I can't tell you how many times I've been to the library to rent books or the park to just sit by the creek and watch the water flow and listen to the wind between the trees. Sides for this week, cuz it's so DREARY. I know I'm weird, but hey that's how I like myself.

All-Consuming Love?

I found this quote while I was looking at wall stickers to dress up my dreary dorm room on monday. I swear to God just looking at the room drained all creative process from my mind. Not that I think that's what the president of my university was going for. Oh no, I think he got some of those workers in those Extreme Makeover shows to come and give it the most depressing vibe possible to discourage students from getting down and jiggy with it while in the room. Just the feel of the dorm should kill all urges. I don't even think rabbits could "get it on" in there. In fact, if they made a room big enough to fit the whole rabbit species there, I'm pretty sure they would become endangered from lack of reproduction. I'm not exaggerating or being dramatic or anything. Anywhozzle.

Back to the quote. Ugh, ok so my friend is going to this college completely because of one reason, or should I say for one person. See now at first you're like "yeah I've seen girlfriends or boyfriends follow each other before, nothing new." But here's the thing- they're not dating. He doesn't even like her that way....and does not plan to hang out with her at all. Now does it seem a little more odd than usual? She even has planned to live here for the rest of her life for this guy. Yea. And she's alway's super depressed...as in therapy depressed. When she is though, she never tries to cheer herself up...she want her guy to come and "save her." She won't even talk to her other friends. She wants to have her love rescue her and define who she is. She seems to think love will "make her." I've seen a guy friend do this to. And my answer to that sort of thinking is this... WHAT THE HECK?!?!?

I keep seeing this idea time and time again these days. In girls, in boys, in life, in movies. Look at Twilight. ( Don't worry Frankie I'm not a twi-lover, the reference will be over in a second.) In it Bella and Edward have no life outside of each other. When they're apart they literally ball up on the floor and cry. And people look at this and are all "wow that's true love, because they're nothing without each other." To me that isn't love at all. I see some people these days don't try to make them selves happy, or make their own future, or have a life of their own, or anything, because they think that's what love is for. They just give up any aspect of their old life and self for "love."To them, love should be the reason for all, and should be all-consuming. But love should never be all consuming to me...at least not like that. We should never give up ourselves and expect love to make up for our entire existence, because our existence is what makes up love. Two persons combined. Both are needed. Because it takes two halves to make a whole, and like it or not, you're one of the halves. And people can't expect the other person to complete their half for them, like some knight in shining armor. That's the WORST thing about these people to me....it's like they expect the magic of love to fix everything and to stay strong and beautiful like in the fairytales.....but they never in vision ( Or is it in-vision? Or is that a word? O.K. if I wrote anything wrong, worry not I did it on purpose to make it seem like cool ghetto/rap slang. I do it alllll for you Snoop Dogg! It is two g's right?) having to do anything themselves for things to work out. And you never her them think of whether their lover will need help at all. To me....I don't know I think the whole "knight in shining armor" thing is kind of selfish... when I hear that I just want to look at the person and be all "So when you stop doing your part, you expect the other person to just make up for all the things you've lost? You expect them to do all the work? And what about them? They're supposed to complete you, yes, but aren't you also supposed to complete them? How can you do that if you given up on yourself, on all the aspects?" Everyone should try hard to be a whole person, so they can do their part. You can't decide to be nothing without another person, or they for you. Because when two nothing's come together...it still adds up to nothing. I know I keep seeming like a grammar idiot by pairing singulars like "everyone" with plurals such as "they," but honestly I'm too lazy to do it the right way. And as I said, I do it for The Snoop.

I feel like people believe love is this weird mystical outside force that will just fix all their problems and make their life and journey and reason and everything. So they let themselves go, stop being who they are or who they would've been, and expect their love to do everything, be everything. But love can't do that. As said in The Wedding Planner, "love is just love." It can't be everything. Love can't be the life journey, because love isn't life...it just makes it worth while. And is shouldn't be the only thought for the future either. Love should never mean sacrificing a whole person, or their life, ya dig? At least thats my opinion. That's why I like that quote. Because the two lovers don't give up themselves to give to one another, nor do they forget about and ignore the rest of life, they instead add on to each other and their lives. And I'm not saying don't give up anything for love....I'm just saying you can't give up your whole self. Am I making any sense Frankie, or am I just rambling and babbling?

Well, what I'm basically saying is this: don't wait for love to make you or your journey in life. Because when it comes, love is supposed to add on to you, and assist you on your uhhhh life path. That's how it goes. Or maybe that's just me. Perhaps I'm just a love-pessimist. Anyway.....I feel all spiritual now.

10 Things I Should be Too Old to Love as Much as I Do. (In no particular order)

1.) Huggies/Juice boxes. I'm sorry, but I love juice. Expecially juice that really should be deemed something completely different. Those ones so filled with chemicals and unnatural products and sugar you can barely taste it's 2% or less natural fruit flavor? Those are necessary to live life fully. Screw real fruit.

2.) Stickers. they are so fun. I mainly tend to put them on my ipod, but you can put them on anything. Cards, Books, folders, people's foreheads. I remember I put a sticker on my friend's forehead once (with his permission of course) and he forgot and walked around all day with it. It happened to be a rainbow. He got a few stares.

3.) Story Tellers. I still love hearing made up stories and fairy tales. Not counting the dramatic ones of how Susie slept with Johny and Tim and is moving on to Billy. In fact, my favorite book of ALL TIME is Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, and the scene where Jack tells Aliena stories he's memorized and when he a makes up a fairy tale of his own is my favorite part of the whole book. I love hearing other people tell stories from their own imagination, as long as it's cute, and they're not trying to pass it off as the truth. That, my dear fellow, is called a-lying. And I've never liked Soap Operas to begin with. It's why I like to have guys as friends.

4.) Making Silly Faces. Seriously, If you want to get to know me and don't know how to break the ice, go over to me and make a silly face like crossing your eyes and sticking out your tongue. I may be shocked first, but as long as it's after 8 a.m, more than likely I WILL laugh.

5.) Pop up storybooks/cards. I love little fairy tale books designed for children that pop up and have little letters to open and what not. They're just so darn adorable.

6.) Blowing Bubbles/ Bubble machines. I don't know whyyyyy I love it really, I just know I do.

7.) Disney/Children movies. Honestly, I don't see how you're mature if you like to watch movies that's all sex jokes. To me it's like health class/Sex ed with immature sophmores and their crude jokes made into one movie. I still absolutely ADORE Beauty and the Beast, Fern Gully, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Pocahontas. And I am definitely watching Tangled once it comes out.

8.)Catching Fireflies. They are one of the few bugs I actually LIKE. And running around, catching them, peeking at them as they glow in your hands, and the setting them free is one of my favorite summer night activities. That and star gazing.

9.) Play Dough. Give me some, leave me alone for a good half hour, and by the time you come back I will have built a whole zoo (that looks like just big blobs everywhere, sculpting is not my thing).

10.) Tire Swings. Its such a cheap and simple thing, yet it can bring so much fun and laughter. I love going on with one other person and just spinning.

I LOVE MY NEW DESIGN!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE MY NEW DESIGN WITH THE TEMPLATE!!!!!!!!!!!....just saying. I want to write, but Im just so tired. This is the first time I'm typing on Dilbert, by the by. Dilbert is my new laptop!!!! Isn't that just awesome? (Who says 'awesome' anymore anyway? Do any of the kool kids do it? I kinda doubt it...since I just did.) I wanted to give him a nerdy name, because he's so naturally techy and smart. Oddly enough, the first name I thought of was William, but that's not even nerdy, and when I thought of William it was before I even got the laptop, making it so he did not inspire the name. That's just silly. It's like how your parents give you a name before you're even born. 80% of the time it doesn't even FIT you in the end. My name sure doesn't. Anyway. I like Dilbert though. I always have had a thing for nerds. The odd thing is Dilbert doesn't LOOK nerdy. He's an apple product, so he's all shiny and slick looking. But deep down he's a nerd. A handsome nerd....my perfect man. We'll be togetha foreva.

I have a serious topic I'd like to discuss with you Frankie, but right now I'm just too dang tired. But I will do it tomorrow, I almost promise. Sheesh you're so impatient. Typing on this makes me feel like some great writer or Carrie from Sex and the City. I just started watching that show, I was a little weary, considering the fact that you know sex is in the freaking title. I'm a bit prude compared to most people of this generation, mentally and physically. But The characters are so funny, and I ADORE Smith, Samantha's love. I usually don't go for the cool guys...but he's just so nice. And loyal and laid back. And imaginative. Im adoring a T.V. character....I have hit rock bottom. You know what I noticed when Carrie was typing though? The apple on her laptop is upside down. My model isn't. I wonder why they changed it. It does look odd, but not that odd.
